This activity is recommended for individuals aged 11 and above, or those with a height of 145 cm or more. Participants under 20 must submit a parent or guardian consent form. A legal guardian must accompany participants under 15; if a legal guardian cannot accompany them, a designated proxy accompanied by a signed consent form from the legal guardian is required. - Rest Stops and Meals
We may adjust rest stops and meal locations based on weather conditions and the group’s cycling pace. - Force Majeure
In the event of force majeure, such as severe weather conditions, the company retains the final right of interpretation regarding the activity and reserves the right to modify the itinerary on short notice. We cannot issue refunds if you leave the tour early or choose not to complete the itinerary. - Cycling Difficulty
Because cycling tours involve a high level of physical difficulty, they are not suitable for individuals with acute or chronic medical conditions (such as cardiovascular diseases, etc.). Please carefully evaluate your own physical condition before participating. - Travel Liability Insurance
According to the law, Travel Liability Insurance covers accidental mishaps only. Accidents arising from an individual’s personal health conditions are excluded from the scope of coverage. If you feel this coverage is insufficient, please independently purchase additional insurance, such as Travel Accident Insurance or Overseas Sudden Illness Medical and Health Insurance. - Medical Declaration
Travelers must disclose their health conditions truthfully and provide a medical certificate if we request one. We strongly recommend that you evaluate your physical fitness before joining the tour. - Health Status Disclosure (Please declare truthfully based on your actual medical history)
For your travel safety and to protect the rights of all tour members, you must truthfully declare prior to registration if you are pregnant, currently suffer from, or have a medical history of conditions including but not limited to: cardiovascular disease, brain disorders, cancer, musculoskeletal and connective tissue diseases, respiratory illnesses, other chronic diseases, infectious diseases, alcohol or drug addiction, physical disabilities, or any other severe illnesses. Even if a previously contracted disease mentioned above has been cured, it must still be declared truthfully; please carefully consider your physical condition before signing up or ensure you are accompanied by family or friends. Given that cycling tourism involves long-distance challenges with a high intensity of riding, participants must truthfully disclose their health status. If any incident occurs during the tour due to personal health factors, the participant shall assume sole responsibility, and the company shall be held completely free from liability. - Passport Information
For insurance and operational purposes, we may ask travelers to provide their full legal name (as shown on their passport), passport number, and date of birth before departure. - Accommodation
We list the hotels as a reference only. We may substitute accommodations with a similar hotel of equivalent standard and category based on availability and operational requirements. - Luggage Allowance
To ensure comfortable and efficient transport in our support vehicle, we recommend that each participant bring no more than one 24-inch suitcase and one backpack. Storage space in the support vehicle is limited, and following this guideline helps us keep your luggage secure and easily accessible throughout the tour.
Note: We may change the itinerary, routes, hotels, or tour rates because of weather, road conditions, or operational requirements.
Frequently Asked Questions About Our 2026 Taiwan Cycling Tour
1. What makes this Taiwan Cycling Tour unique?
Our 2026 Taiwan Cycling Tour is more than just a bike ride—it’s a journey through Taiwan’s landscapes, culture, and cuisine. Rather than racing from point to point, we combine rewarding cycling with authentic local experiences.
The Riding: Enjoy a fully supported ride along Taiwan’s scenic west coast with experienced cycling guides, daily luggage transfers, and a dedicated support vehicle.
The Sightseeing: Explore historic towns, coastal wetlands, temples, old streets, and cultural landmarks that many visitors never see.
The Food: Discover Taiwan through its food, from regional specialties and bustling night markets to delicious local dishes enjoyed along the route.
2. What route does the tour follow?
Our Taiwan Cycling Tour follows a carefully planned route from Taipei to Kaohsiung on the 5-day itinerary, with an optional 2-day extension to Kenting.
We ride on cyclist-friendly roads that showcase Taiwan’s beautiful west coast while passing through historic towns, scenic wetlands, and cultural attractions. To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, the route is fixed and cannot be customized during the tour.
3. Is this Taiwan Cycling Tour suitable for me?
This tour is designed for recreational cyclists with a good level of fitness. The 5-day tour covers approximately 460 km, while the full 7-day tour covers around 600 km.
Daily rides range from 45 km to 105 km, with most days covering 75–100 km. The route follows mostly flat to rolling terrain, with daily elevation gains ranging from 100 to 700 metres, and riders typically average 20–28 km/h, depending on the terrain and the group’s pace.
You don’t need to be a competitive cyclist, but you should feel comfortable riding for several hours on consecutive days. With regular training before the tour, most recreational cyclists will find the experience both achievable and rewarding.
4. How should I train before the tour?
We recommend starting your training 2 to 3 months before departure.
Build your endurance with regular rides and include back-to-back weekend rides—for example, 60 km on Saturday and another 60 km on Sunday. This helps your body adapt to consecutive riding days and makes the tour more enjoyable.
We also recommend testing your bicycle, nutrition, and riding gear before arriving in Taiwan.
5. Are bicycles included, or can I bring my own?
Bicycles are not included in the tour price. We offer high-quality bicycle rentals that can be reserved in advance, or you are welcome to bring your own bicycle.
Most airlines allow bicycles to be checked as oversized luggage in a bike box or travel case. Our team will be happy to assist you with assembling your bike before the tour and packing it for your return journey.
6. Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance before joining the tour.
Your booking includes Travel Liability Insurance, which provides coverage in accordance with local regulations. However, it does not cover trip cancellation, overseas medical expenses, emergency medical evacuation, or losses related to pre-existing medical conditions.
For your own protection, we recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes overseas medical coverage, trip cancellation, and cycling activities. Please check with your insurance provider to ensure your policy covers your planned cycling holiday in Taiwan.
7. What cycling gear should I bring?
We recommend bringing:
- Cycling jerseys and padded shorts
- Cycling shoes and pedals (if you use them)
- Cycling gloves
- Moisture-wicking socks
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- A reusable water bottle
If you rent a bicycle through us, a helmet is included. If you bring your own bicycle, please remember to bring your own helmet.
8. What support is available during the tour?
Your comfort and safety are our highest priorities. Throughout the tour, our experienced cycling guides and dedicated support vehicle accompany the group every day.
The support vehicle transports your luggage between hotels and carries water, snacks, basic tools, and first aid supplies. If you become tired, experience a mechanical issue, or are unable to continue riding, simply load your bicycle onto the support vehicle and ride comfortably to the next destination.
9. What is the weather like for cycling in Taiwan during October?
October is one of the best months for cycling in Taiwan. The cooler autumn temperatures, lower humidity, and reduced chance of typhoons create ideal riding conditions across much of the island.
Combined with clear skies and comfortable weather, October offers an excellent opportunity to experience Taiwan’s scenic landscapes by bicycle.
10. What happens if I can’t finish a day’s ride?
Your safety and comfort always come first. If you become too tired, experience bad weather, or have a mechanical issue, you can load your bicycle onto the support vehicle and ride comfortably to the next destination with the rest of the group.
